Most people begin their day with a shower and for many of us even that can be a frustrating experience. We have to deal with problems like low water pressure, too little hot water or a long wait for the water to warm up.
Investing in a new showerhead can help solve water pressure problems and also reduces water waste. This is an inexpensive little fix that takes less than an hour to put in place.
Water temperature problems are trickier but not impossible to solve. Consider replacing your existing water heater with a tank-less or demand model. These units use a lot less energy and do a much better job of meeting your hot water needs.
Get a Friendlier Floor
In the winter especially a nice comfy floor underfoot can go a long way towards making for a better morning. Carpets and throw rugs are the obvious choices for most rooms in the home but such things dont usually fare well in a bathroom, where the air and the floor are often damp. Consider instead having radiant under floor heating installed. It costs a lot less than you might imagine and uses less energy than conventional baseboard heating.
Buy a Programmable Coffee Maker
For most of us waiting for the coffee to brew in the morning is a time waster and an annoyance. Others eschew homemade coffee altogether because they cant be bothered with the hassle and stumble their way through the morning in a daze until they can get their java fix at the coffee shop on the way to work. However, a programmable coffee maker solves all that. Set it up the night before to begin brewing about ten minutes before your alarm goes off and you can wake up to a boiling hot pot of great smelling fresh brewed coffee. Now doesnt that sound good?
