Your computer's registry is where all of your information of your computer is stored. This is also where all of details of the installed software are kept as well. The sole purpose of having a computer registry is to have a place where all of the configurations of every program are stored. It is also responsible for the configurations of the hardware attached at the computer. Therefore, if there is something wrong with your system or you encountered any kind of error out of the blue, then there is something wrong with your computer registry. More often than not, these are all because of the virus, spywares, and other malicious wares that infiltrated your system. Thus, in order to have a clean computer registry, here are some of the things that you can do.

To manually clean your computer registry

1. Click the START button which can be found at the desktop's taskbar. You can also hit the button with the Windows icon in your keyboard as well.

2. Choose RUN.

3. At the space provided, type in REGEDIT then click OK.

4. A window would appear. At the menu toolbar, choose FILE.

5. Look at the options until you find EXPORT.

6. Type in the name that you want for your backup files.

7. Click SAVE.

By the time that you already ensured that you have a backup registry, you can now check the left part of the window where you can edit the registry of your computer. From the registry editor window, you can also see the configurations of your registry as well.

Expand the registry editor section by clicking the plus (+) sign. Delete the registry files manually by going to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and have a clean computer registry without using any tool.
