These three easy weight loss tips are the foundation to your success.


1. Set a realistic goal. You are not going to lose 10-15 pounds per week unless you are on a TV show, holed up in a canyon with personal trainers, doctors and nutritionists. Don't even think about it. Set mini-goals as you work your way towards a bigger goal.

Chose your big picture goal. It might be 'I want to lose fifty pounds in eight months'. Then decide on a small goal for yourself that you can reach more quickly. 'I want to lose two pounds in the next week'. When you reach this small goal, you'll have the feeling of success. Celebrate each step of the way, you deserve it! This is going to make the entire journey more enjoyable.

Another thing about goals. Your goal should include more than just weight loss. A truly inspiring goal will include details about how you will feel and look in your new clothes. Write it down in vivid detail.


2. Broadcast it to the world. Declare it out loud. Let everyone know about your intentions to lose weight. Post it online, shout it out your window or call a friend. Do whatever you need to do to make it public. Why? Letting everyone know makes your goals real and tangible. You will not be able to turn back.

Post pictures of your journey online. Everyone enjoys seeing before and after shots of people who have been successful at losing weight. Besides having your clothes fit more loosely, it's the easiest way to see the results.

3. Surround yourself with success. Seek out the company of friends and family who support and encourage you. Unfortunately not all of them will give you what you need.

Reasons could include a fear that you won't want to hang out with them anymore. Or it may highlight that they were unable to the get the same results that you are getting.
