They calculate it based on personal stuffs such as if you are married or not, where you live, your age and many different factors.
I found out Geico was the cheapest company for me although AllState was the cheapest one for my best friend. It was something that never crossed my mind. I personally would recommend you ask for quick car insurance quotes online right way. It is not time consuming at all and it can save you hundreds of dollars a month.
