Eat Fruits And Vegetables To Reduce Cellulite
Are you struggling to get rid of your cellulite
? If you are, do you know that there are natural ways to get rid of or at least reduce their unwanted appearances? Yes, by eating the right foods and having a good exercise program can help you to reduce your cellulite.
To begin combating cellulite, we need to know and understand what cellulite is. Cellulite is usually found in places where you store your stubborn body fat such as in your upper legs, buttock, upper arms and on your belly. It is on those places of the skin that have lumpy fats somewhat akin to the surface of golf balls.
In reality, cellulite is just a fanciful name for clumps of fats that push against the connective tissues underneath your skin. When the connective tissues cannot hold in the underlying fat, it creates that ugly dimpled look.
There are many things that causes cellulite formation and some of them are your body's muscle to fat ratio, genetics, gender, age and your lifestyle. These factors will dictate whether or not you have cellulite and how much of it you have.
Women are more prone to develop cellulite than men although not all men are free from the cellulite plague. The reason is because the estrogen hormone in women tends to increase fluid buildup in their fatty tissues and also as women have thinner skin than men, it is easier for the fatty tissues to be pushed up to the surface just under the skin for the clumps of fats to become visible.
One way of reducing cellulite is to eat cellulite destruction foods more often such as fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables contain antioxidants that mop up free radicals in the body. Free radicals are often responsible for the damages to your cells and bodily tissues.
The antioxidants also prevent future damage to your cells by providing a layer of protection to the cells and tissues. Furthermore, fruits and vegetables also contain vitamin C which can help to build up collagen making your skin stronger and healthier.
Do take note that when eating fruits, do eat the fruit itself and not just the fruit juice for its full benefits and also do not over eat them as most fruits have high sugar contents that may provide more calories than need because if you consume more calories than what you use up as energy, those calories will be stored as body fat.
So what is the relationship between free radicals and your cellulite? You see, your lymphatic system is what flushes out toxins from your body and free radicals put a lot of pressure on the system preventing it from performing efficiently for its tasks.
When this happens, it creates fibers that bind to the walls of fat pockets, making them thicker and bigger. The extra pressure pushes the clumps of fats upwards towards the skin and become visible as cellulite.
Therefore if you want to prevent the dreadful free radicals from destroying your cells, besides eating more fruits and vegetables, avoid free radical causing agents like smoking, drinking alcohol, eating charred foods, stressful living, pollution, prolonged sun exposure and eating factory processed foods that are drenched in preservatives and unhealthy chemicals.
The next step is to adopt a good exercise routine. When you exercise, you elevate your heart rate and that in turn give you better blood circulation to give you a healthier glowing skin. When your skin is healthier and tighter, it is more difficult for the fat clumps to be pushed to the surface.
Furthermore, exercise burn away body fat and your cellulite is part of your body fat and so, you can burn away some cellulite this way.
So if you want to reduce or even get rid of your cellulite, start avoiding free radical attacks and have a good exercise program.
