Packing usually takes about ten boxes per room, so have adequate supply of medium to large sized cardboard boxes for packing as you don't want to run short of them while the packing goes. Use packing tapes to seal the boxes and not duct tapes or masking tapes.
Packing dishes: Dishes should be packed vertically and not flat; they are stronger when vertically piled. Wrap them up into bundles using a large clean blank newsprint. Put four to five plates in one bundle with a sheet or two of paper in between each plate. Place them on their side up at the bottom of a cushioned dish box.
