Commenting on other experts' blog or forum posts is supposed to generate tons of leads to your website(s), but does it? Does it really?

This is an excellent chance to showcase your expertise, but it most be totally reader-oriented, bringing lots of value to the table.

Never try to sell anything in your comments! You're there to be of service, connect and introduce yourself as a solution provider, or at the very least as someone who cares, who is ready to offer a word of support, and who is an interesting conversationist.

Now that you have a clear structure of your next comment in mind, research online for blogs and forums where your (future) tribe hangs out, and make a list from what you find out, preferably on computer with functioning link, so every time you go comment marketing, you have all these sites just one click away.

Once you have the list, block out time in your week for writing and posting your comments. Batching - doing all your commenting in one session - proves to be the best way to go, making you save lots of time, energy and consequently, money. Namely, if you persist on publishing comments wherever and whenever you remember to or stumble upon an interesting site, you run the risk of frittering away your entire days without accomplishing much at all.

And here's another efficiency tip: when you read Ezines, and get redirected to a blog with the possibility of posting a comment, do it immediately, don't wait! It's efficient - you're already there, and with your attention focused on the task, posting is a matter of minutes - and you'll avoid ending up with another to-do item on your already overly busy to-do list.


Quality comments in the right places will drive qualified prospects to your free offers, resulting in more subscribers and a more responsive list. If you make sure to provide valuable information on your own blog and in your own articles, you'll start getting a flood of amazing, content-rich comments, too. And before you'll know it, a whole community will build around you, and you'll become even bigger of a leader than you are now.
