Egypt is the home of the most ancient civilization of the whole world which can be traced back many millennia BCE. For many centuries the civilization of Egypt continued to be the source of illumination of the world. The remains of the great wonders of Egypt that is still seen today will never cease to amaze students of history and Egyptology also tourists that came to see them from different parts of the world.

This place is also the center of innovative and successive human, cultural and social interaction. The interaction done has made many important contribution in making the culture, society and history of Egypt. One of the most noticeable characteristics of the culture and society of Egypt is the many historical experiences and the assortment of cultural ingredients.

The history of Egypt can be traced back from 3100 to 322 BC. This period in Egypt is separated into thirty dynasties or thirty ruling families which are then grouped in four which is the old, middle and new kingdoms and lastly late period.

During Archaic kingdom around the year 3100 to 2181 BC from first to sixth dynasties is where the dynastic history of Egypt started and also marks the unity of 2 kingdoms before dynastic Egypt: northern kingdom in which the kings wear a red crown while the white crown is worn by the Kings of the southern kingdom. Third dynasty during the 27th century BC was the period of the first construction of the great pyramids. The chief architect of the first pyramid was Imhotep which was constructed in dedication to King Zoser. The construction of the first pyramid was considered as the first attempt to build an architecture made wholly from stone in the whole world.

The culture of Egypt was mixture of foreign influences. The birth of Islam and its integration to Egypt opened them to different influences and settlers from a variety of regions which includes the Levant, Central Asia, Arabia, Southern Europe and North Africa. The prodigy of Egypt showed their ability to easily adapt many foreign influences to the society of Egypt and also taking it into a part of one unified entity.

The Islamic culture and art of Egypt are revealed in different products, tinted glasses, stucco patterns and designs, architectural monuments and stone and wood designs in a geometrical manner.

This shows the different influences of Egypt in its long running history. Visiting the country yourself will make you experience the cultures and traditions first hand.
