I would like to talk to you today about towels and Egyptian towels in particular
. These types of towels are well known for being a higher quality than the rest. Is there a good reason for this? Of course there is.
The first sign of quality is the name 'Egyptian towels'. You and I know that you don't put your name to something unless you believe in the product. The Egyptians have put their name to their towels and this must mean they are confident in them. How many other countries have done that? Have you ever heard of UK towels?
So what is different about Egyptian towels and why are they the best? It is primarily about the materials that are being used. Obviously the towels are made of cotton but there is something different about the cotton. The cotton from Egypt is very thin.
The Egyptians are quite lucky that their cotton is thinner. This thinness means that they can get more of it into a piece of a towel than you could from using other types of cotton. This will give it a higher quality feel.
So what does this mean for the price? Will it be higher? The answer is generally yes. Well actually, when you go through the logic it makes a lot of sense. As we have said, the thinness of the cotton means that Egyptian towels use more of it. The cost is higher because you are using more of the raw materials.
The final thing you have to consider when it comes to costs is transportation cost. Either the towels or the cotton have to be transported from Egypt to countries around the world. This all adds to the costs especially compared to other types of towels.
Egypt has been good to the world. They have given us one of the 7 wonders of the world in the pyramids. They have then given us Egyptian towels for us to dry our bodies with.
