Elvis Presley has been one of the best Rock and Roll artists that the world has seen in the 20th century. His style, attitude, body language and gestures impressed a number of women and made them fall for him instantly. Elvis had that spark which could create fire all around in a concert. His death still remains a question in lot many people's minds as it was highly unexpected at a very early age. He was touring in his 40's when he suffered a heart attack and it was in 1977 he bid goodbye to his millions of fans. Since then the impersonators also better known as impressionists or imitators took the charge and kept on entertaining the audience. As the time progressed, these people started becoming famous and started getting recognition from all around the world. The largest impersonators that the world has seen in today's date have been of Elvis Presley. Surveys conducted all around the world show different figures and number of Elvis Impersonators existent today. Apart from Elvis there are many other celebrities that have been imitated and hence there are impersonators for them as well. Some of them include Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Cher, Shania Twain etc.

As people started loving and following these impersonators on a regular basis, television companies and channels started new TV shows where people could entertain themselves rather than just visiting the concerts and stage shows. Initially there was a lot of competition amongst the best and the worst impersonators. Later on, the impersonators were differentiated as level A, level B or level C impersonator. Level A impersonator would be a person who would exactly look as the celebrity in terms of looks, style, body language and voice as well. This person would travel all around the world and do tours just like the original celebrity. Level B impersonator is a person who might have the looks and style of the person he is impersonating but doesn't have the voice and body language like the original one. C level impersonators are the people who use wigs, make up and extra costumes to resemble the original celebrity.

Most of the impersonators make their living by leading this kind of a lifestyle. They entertain people and hence start getting known as "look alike" of a particular celebrity. They also face a similar kind of fan following the way celebrities do but all this takes a lot of time and patience. These people are not considered less than celebrities. Elvis impersonators are the best kind of impersonators that the people have seen till date and they also love a similar kind of fan following just like Elvis Presley might have if he was alive today.
