So many times I find sales people selling people the improper type of wood flooring for there concrete subfloors. At California Flooring Service, we recommend engineered wood flooring over concrete slabs. This type of wood flooring will allow for contracting and expanding, unlike its counter part, solid wood. With smooth finish wood, you can sand and refinish it usually a couple times, providing the top layer is at least 3mm or more. if you get HandS craped wood, then if you sand it down, you lose the Hand Scraped aspect.
