The Australian Holiday Visa allows you to work while traveling or holidaying in Australia

. This visa is meant for those who want to work when staying in the country on a holiday. The money earned can be spent on travel expenses. Validity of this visa is for a 12 month period, after which it is possible to apply for a second working holiday visa, provided the applicant has completed a three month work period with an employer.

This visa also gives you the opportunity to study. You can study for a four month period also during the visa period. Visa application can be done at the Australian consulate in your country. There is a non-refundable visa application charges that is imposed at the time of application. Once the visa has been approved, you can enter the country at any time, during the visa validity period. You can leave the country and renter for as many times as you want till the visa is valid. If you get a second working visa, you can continue employment with the same business as you were employer during the previous visa period. If you studied for a four month period, the second working visa lets you get back to the same institution for study.

When you are working in the country during the visa period, the work period is applicable only for six months. During this time, if you happen to work in a franchise, you can take up work in different franchisees, provided each franchise has a different business number, however the work period is only for six months time. It is necessary to be of 18 years of age when you apply for the visa and the maximum age limit is 30 years. You cannot stay in the same job for a period that is more than six months, using different employment agencies or even sub-contracting arrangements.
