Enjoy Puerto Vallarta's Daytime Nightlife

Many visitors choose a vacation on the shores of Banderas Bay specifically for the nightlife. They look forward to singing the night away in one of the area's karaoke bars or dancing until their feet ache at one of the many dance clubs. And let's face it in many of those spots, the night doesn't start to heat up until 10 p.m. or later. You've heard the stories, and you know your limitations you know that when 10 p.m. rolls around, you need to be in very close proximity to your villa Puerto Vallarta and a comfortable bed.

Does this mean you must deprive yourself of those same nighttime delights in order to enjoy the full benefits of sleep? It does not! True, you might miss out an occasional sing-off or T-shirt contest; on the other hand, as an "early to bed" type, events of that nature might not be your cup of tea anyway. So make a list of nightlife attractions that do attract your attention, and leave your villa Puerto Vallarta prepared for some daytime nightlife.

Carlos O'Brian's, at Paseo Diaz Ordaz 786 (opposite the Malecon) is one of the most popular dance bars in town. The night gets started here after 10 p.m., but happy hour funs from noon to 6 p.m., perfectly timed to suit your schedule. Enjoy an iced beverage and step out for some additional entertainment.

The Malecon. There's really no bad time to enjoy a saunter along the city's popular boardwalk, and sunset is a particularly nice time to take to the fresh air. While the night owls are strapping on their dancing shoes, you can use your walking shoes to full advantage.

Joe Jack's Fish Shack, at Basilio Badillo 212, is a particular favorite for those who like to sip a well-made Mojito. Between noon and 7 p.m., you and a friend can enjoy two-fers two-shot mojitos, with pineapple and/or ginger at your request, for a very reasonable price. One or two of them, and you'll definitely be retiring early to your villa Puerto Vallarta.

Learn to dance. A couple of dance clubs, notably J&B Dancing Club and Restaurant Santa Barbara, offer dancing lessons in the early part of the night, starting around 8 or 9 p.m. If your feet are asleep at that hour, you can contact Felipe (322-117-2591), who works at J&B, and try to arrange a private lesson while the sun still shines.
