Places I would recommend seeing in Tokyo include the Ryogoku Kokugikan Sumo arena, which is very entertaining. There is also the Tsukiji market which is a wholesale market that runs 24 hours a day. Although you cannot buy products there, you can visit and walk around the market and buy the freshest sashimi, sushi or tempura. These are made from scratch in front of you as you wait, and must be experienced.

Language can be an issue for some travellers visiting the city, but many Japanese people speak some English.
