Population figures for the year ending July 1, 2006, indicate that Arizona was, at that time, the fastest growing state in the United States, exceeding the growth of the previous leader, Nevada , and is currently the second.

If you aren't interested in the desert climate Arizona which predominates in the central and southern portions of the state, go northward, where you will find mountain ranges, lakes, pine forests, and of course, canyons and gorges.
