The Opera House runs one-hour guided tours that start every 30 minutes, which is a good alternative if youre cant make it to a concert or opera.

The Beaches

Thanks to the naturally warm climate its beaches attract millions of people all year round. Bondi Beach is also home to famous dining places, cafes and hotels. Aside from Bondi, theres Manly Beach, which is mainly accessible via ferry. Aside from these two, there are several other beaches in the eastern and northern suburbs, with varying degrees of beauty but each of which caters to specific tourist demands.

With numerous major attractions, it is easy for you and your kids to lose yourselves in its many offerings. Try the Darling Quarter Playground or the Sydney Entertainment Centre. For a good round of shopping (again, this can chew up hours), visit the Harbourside Shopping Centre. There is also a Madam Tussauds and other museums, and, of course, the LG IMAX theatre, featuring the worlds largest movie screen.
