SAP has been the dominant solutions provider in the ERP space for some time; having over 40

,000 customers worldwide, across 120 countries and 25 industries. A significant portion of the Fortune 500 companies in the US make use of SAP for day-to-day transactional and operational processing.

An ERP system typically exhibits the following features:

- Packaged software

- Integrates the majority of a business's processes

- Processes the majority of organizations transactions

- Uses a data warehouse

- Allow access to data in "real time"

- Integrates transaction processing and planning activities

SAP has all the features that an ERP system should have. It does all that an ERP systems needs to do and also a lot more than expected. It has a modular functionality, which enables the system to provide solutions to all the key aspects of the business.

SAP provides a wide range of solution, from finance, to human resources management, to ware house supply management, to supply chain, to online and offline sales management. All these functions are reconfigurable /customizable according to the business needs.

Though SAP possesses such amazing features and fulfills its role as an ERP system, there is a still lot of double handling of data or manually (re)entering data into SAP, plus corporate data continues to reside in spreadsheets. Updating data in spreadsheets into SAP remains a significant challenge. Many business departments waste resources by manually entering data into SAP system, the data that is entered into SAP can be error prone and be of poor quality.

There is a better way! A software solution that works the way you do, in essence link Excel and SAP seamlessly, so that data entry occurs in Excel only once. Once entered in Excel the data is automatically updated in SAP and vice versa. The user is able to use Excel like an alternative front end to SAP.

Users would require a minimum of features like:

- Create New Spreadsheets: Helps users to create a new workbook of data or use a existing template sheet and just add data into it.

- Develop Custom Templates: Users can develop customer specific templates, defining the meaning of each column and row in the worksheet, create user specific labels and headers and define formulas.

- Upload to SAP: Upload excels data to SAP.

- Download from SAP: Download data from SAP to an Excel Spreadsheet/Template, including history and master data. This is the same Spreadsheet/Template that will be used for the upload process.

- Advance Error Checking: A key differentiators from a simple load program. Standard SAP error messages are passed back to Excel, therefore the user sees it exactly as if they had made the input directly into SAP.

- Integration with SAP Security: Users must be SAP users and have the relevant security objects assigned to their User ID to make to upload or use SAP data through the Excel to SAP Software.

- F4 Style Look-ups: Users can perform SAP F4 Style lookups either to Master Data available in their spreadsheets or into SAP.

- SAP System Selection: Ability to select which SAP System processing will take place with. DEV/TST/PRD.

- Multiple Sheet Processing: Users can process multiple sheets at once. Through the multiple sheet configuration form, users can identify which sheets to process and the processing task.

- Use of Excel Functionality: Users can enter data either as a manual number, a formula or a reference to another sheet.
