Life is hard work; dont expect anyone to give you anything

. Stay humble, giving thanks for your unique individual gifts. Keep it simple dont get caught up in the hype of success; always practice daily actions that will improve peoples lives. Even simple gestures, helping a woman carry groceries, fixing the neighbors broken lawn mower, or offering (hand-me-down) clothes to a struggling family make a tangible difference in the daily lives of people in the community. Each day, I take time out to sit quietly mediating on how I've been blessed with a tremendous opportunity to add value to the lives of others. I believe that's what makes every single human being's story so amazing. My story, though similar to a lot of other rags to riches tales, is still uniquely mine. And guess what? That means you also have something special to give to the world too. Great careers and successful lives start with small ideas. Keep your eyes open and your mind and body working and be ready to work with the opportunities that come your way. Get enthusiastic about your life long journey of knowledge and education. Listen to learn from others. Picture your goals in life and the hard work necessary to achieve these goals. Value each opportunity with respect. Remember each opportunity is a piece to your life plan puzzle. Find a mentor. Find a role model. If you cant find a role model in your family, then find one in your community. Wealth does not necessarily make great role models but rather look for quality character and compassion for others. Make peace with your family. You may have family members who can lead by example. You may not. Let them teach you what to do, and what not to do. Focus on the positive. Identify and congratulate yourself on your positive accomplishments no matter how small. Dont listen to those who say you cant. Dont let the negative people drag you down. Hang out with good people. Just keep looking for them until you find them. Dont give up asking for help. Thats not begging. Thats investing in your future. There are a lot of good people in this world. Find them and put yourself near them. Work hard to set and achieve your goals. Goals should be measurable, challenging yet attainable, meaningful, and add value to our daily lives. Measurable Life is a subjective process. It is full of prejudices, ups, and downs. In order to navigate through the maze of success you must set measurable goals. Stay focused dont get distracted veering off the path of success, as roadblocks and various other tempting pleasures steer us in the wrong direction. Challenging and Attainable There is a median between the unobtainable and too easy. This is the place where you will find your greatest challenge. Your goal should be somewhere along the lines of hard to achieve, but not impossible to achieve. Meaningful Write down ways the goal will benefit your life, career, family, etc. The more meaning this goal has to you personally, the higher you will rank it on the priority chart, and the likelihood of you achieving that goal increases tenfold. Value and Belief System Our values typically dictate our actions. The majority of our decisions are based on intrinsic values that have been instilled in our brains since childhood. Your goal must reflect your personal value system or it can add unnecessary stress to your life and create conflict. Completion Date You should have started an outline of what needs to be done and the means by which you will accomplish this task/goal. Sacrifices Anything worth doing is going to require some sacrifice. The key to success is having a system that is able to determine if those sacrifices are reasonable. Give serious and careful thought to the fact, One doesn't become great by claiming greatness". Building success takes consistent hard work and humble decisions over time.
