BIT Mesra has officially announced the schedule of its first entrepreneurship week in the last 25 years under STEP. In spite of being the first institute to implement STEP in the nation, the entrepreneurship cell has not been entirely active. However, the entrepreneurship week seems set to set the stage ablaze, now that it is back.

The entrepreneurship week as the name suggests is an attempt to spread the spirit of entrepreneurship amongst the young minds. It has been observed in India that most of the people that take up engineering merely do so without giving a second thought to their passion and their desires. Obviously, this is so because we tend to stay away from what we would love to do.

The core theme of the entrepreneurship week would be to help the newbies begin a business. For this, the various aspects of beginning a business are covered by guests in their lectures, each lecture targeting a different aspect. For instance, risk analysis is covered in one lecture while government policies are covered in next.

The idea behind the entrepreneurship is not just to attend the lectures, it is to build a foundation for the idea that you have. The people who attend and have an idea will know exactly what they should do henceforth so as to be able to build a business. The ones who don't have an idea, might as well get one in the course of time!

The risk analysis lecture would introduce the basic elements of risk taking. It would not just tell you why take risks,it would also teach you how to take risks...!

The financial aspects of a business are probably the most cumbersome to manage if one does not know exactly how to tackle it. This lecture would cut through all the haze and make clear how you should manage the financials of your company

The government policies stay unknown to most of the people of our nation. This lecture would thus help you know the policies that are in place for you.
