. Numerous organizations have been formed that are specifically aimed at protecting the environment through various activities. With rapid increase in the number of organizations that are working towards environment sustainability, there has been a corresponding increase in the number of jobs available in this field. Entry level jobs, in particular, have caught the attention of many environment enthusiasts. These jobs are available on both the private and government level. The job options available to these people vary from policy makers to technicians.

Some of the entry level jobs in the environmental field that do not require any college degree or past experience include environmental technicians and laboratory analysts. The tasks that an environmental technician has to perform include taking samples from places like water bodies and waste dumping points and test them for the level of chemicals that are hazardous to the environment. This job can be found in both private and government bodies that are working towards environmental preservation. For instance, they can be found in some of the manufacturing firms in the private sector. The only kind of training you will have to undergo is pertaining to safety standards. Other than this, there is no special training program for environmental protection that you have to go through.

Other entry level jobs, such as that of an environmental laboratory analyst, will require some degree of educational qualification. These people typically have to work in a laboratory and have the responsibility of testing the samples that have been collected by technicians from various locations. After the results have been uncovered, they are entered into the records of the company and forwarded to the higher management authorities of the organization. When testing samples, you will have to work with many liquids, solids and solvents and the company will provide you with all the necessary safety equipment and conditions to work with these samples. Some of the obvious ones include gloves and goggles. Again, you do not have to undertake any specialized environment training to be eligible for this job.

In companies that operate on a smaller scale, the tasks of the environmental technician and laboratory analyst may be performed by the same individual. For those who have completed a degree in environmental, chemical or civil engineering, entry level jobs include those of a junior environmental engineer who is responsible for the supervision of projects along with other engineers and the project manager. You may have to take a test in order to qualify for this position, but no specific training is required.
