It is important to note that this beach is popular with naturists; there are specially designated sections for those wishing to enjoy the nudist lifestyle however it may not be the best place to take the kids!

The Playa del Duque beach is a more exclusive area situated close to Costa Adeje, due to the elite nature of the area the beach is extremely well maintained and peaceful. Those looking to avoid the traps of mass tourism will definitely appreciate what Playa del Duque has to offer with small, intimate cafes dotted around the perfect, white sand.

Just west of El Madeno is the picturesque Playa del la Tajita beach, a vast expanse of stunning golden sand that seems to be isolated from the rest of the island. The beach is perfect for those wishing to go exploring with many hidden coves to discover, there is a risk of high winds so make sure you check the weather before you travel to la Tajita. Apart from the small cafes and bar that is located on one end of the beach, there really is not much around the area therefore it is perfect for anyone looking to escape.

Tenerife may offer a wide range of tourist facilities and attractions to enjoy however it is the quieter, rugged areas that truly show the island full potential.
