On the way I had a little whinge and got fobbed off by someone who obviously didn't know what they were on about. It wasn't all bad as it gave me a chance to get my last bits of kit together as I would be working the next day and would be leaving straight from work to meet the transport. I had mixed emotions about the weekend. One side of me was excited as this was what I had been training 18months to achieve, but the other side was very nervous as I was now going out of my comfort zone and also had a 4 mile booted run. For some reason I still underestimate how fit I really am. I think it is because of the niggles I get when running in boots.
