Can an Internet Business Relationship or Friendship Evolve Result in Establishing Credibility and Trust?


Is it realistic to think that you will be able to establish your credibility over the Internet and build trust with your network members? There are a many, many skeptics that believe credibility and trust cannot exist without face to face communications; anything less, they believe, is suspect.

The Reality of a Global Network

As we spiral toward a global network; it does not make sense to think that we will be able to have face to face opportunities to connect with each and every network member? That fact alone makes the concerns stated above irrational.

If you are going to create credibility and trust with a global network, making long distance friendships and connections without face-to-face encounters will be a necessity. Those relationships will be dependent upon your ability to connect directly but also based upon the reputation you create with others and what they say about you.

Reputations based upon first and second level credibility and group credibility will be key to your success. The stronger your credibility in those first, second, and group connections and the more they talk about you; the easier it will be to extend your brand and your sphere of influence.

You must tell the "WHOLE" story to give potentially interested parties the complete picture of who you are. This is how they will make their assessments and judge you.

Obviously my activities on the Internet are working to establish my credibility, a trust relationship, and my brand; without the necessity of face-to-face contact.
