Eureka Enviro Steamer - An Excellent Choice

The Eureka Enviro Steamer isn't loaded with tons of fancy features like some steam mops but that doesn't mean that it should be ignored when you are hunting for a steam mop to purchase. This steam mop is actually very highly rated, well made, and reasonably priced.

The Eureka Enviro Steamer has a very simple design. It's water tank is located at the base of the steam mop in it's mop head. It has an adjustable handle so you can set it to accommodate your height. This is a nice feature since many steam mops don't give you this option and some have handles on the short side.

The water tank of the Eureka is located at it's base, as I mentioned. It can hold around 20 ounces of water which is pretty sizable for a steam mop. Some models like the Shark Steam Mop and the Steamfast Steam Mop have tanks about half that size. The larger tank means you won't have to stop frequently to refill it while mopping. This is a huge time saver since each refill would require having to wait for the mop to heat back up.

The Eureka Enviro Steamer has a very sturdy built. Unlike the Shark Steam Mop, which has lots of negative reviews from customers who experienced the mop breaking, the Eureka seems to have a much better design.

Included with the Eureka Enviro Steamer is two cloth mop pads, a tray for heating up and cooling down on, and a funnel and measuring cup for easy filling. An on/off switch and an indicator light add to it's ease of use.

With a cleaning path of about a foot wide, you get pretty good coverage with this steam mop. It also has many steam holes, unlike the Shark's single steam hole, and they are spread out.

The Eureka Enviro Steamer does have a couple of design quirks though. One is that since the water tank is located at the base in the mop head, it has a higher profile so it is not as good about getting under cabinets or furniture as steam mops that have the water tank located on the handle. The other is that the mop pads clip onto the mop head, unlike some mops that velcro on. This isn't really an issue except that the Eureka Enviro Steamer's mop pads tend to shrink up some the first time you wash them and you then have to work a little harder to get them on the mop.

All things considered, the Eureka Enviro Steamer is still an excellent steam mop with hundreds of glowing reviews to it's name. It's affordable price and sturdy, well made design make it a wonderful option for those wanting a steam mop.
