European Poker Tour The Richest Poker Tournament Series in the World

The poker tournament calendar would not be complete without the presence of PokerStars.com sponsored European Poker Tour (EPT) being present.

The massively popular poker tournament series is considered to be the biggest live poker tournament in the world, boasting the biggest prize pools as well as playing host to some of the biggest names within the poker industry today.

The tournament series is set to move into it's seventh season, building a year upon year increase of both players who enter the tournaments as well as the amount of money that is made available for each and everyone of their many poker tournaments which are hosted throughout the tournament.

To shed a little light on the interest in the main event from last season's season 6, over 9,000 players bought into the tournament, creating a huge 56 million euros prize pool.

Although the tournament is a live participation event, those players who are unable to participate are able to keep up to date with the tournament action after a television deal was done between the organisers and the television companies, meaning that the action is yet again set to be broadcast around the globe.

The tournament is set to ignite the interest in live poker tournament play all over again and PokerStars.com will be hoping that with so many set to watch the action from their homes, that they will be the leading online poker room to capture those viewers who will be looking to get their taste of the thrill of poker.
