Everything You Didnt Know About The Low Carb Diet A Nubodyz Build A Better Body Read
The thing about being in shape or being fit is that there will always be a huge market for it
. As such, there always are, and will always be, a surplus of fad approaches to exercise and nutrition. Despite its large following, it is my opinion that the Low Carb Diet approach is no exception. Today, it seems there is always some new secret that has just come to light. In all reality, the secret to transforming your figure was discovered ages ago; its called diet and exercise, and it is the only means to achieving REAL results that LAST!
Contrary to popular belief, the Low Car approach is not a new breakthrough; far from it. It was created in 1972 by Dr. Robert Atkins. The only thing new about the diet is its new found popularity. People who are new to the Atkins diet immediately fall in love with it because they lose so much weight in their first week; great right? Well, not really. The reason for this weight loss is because the diet sends the body into Ketosis. In its simplest terms, Ketosis is a body imbalance that causes your body to flush out toxins (ketones) through your urine. Yes, you are losing weight, but it is primarily water weight, not fat.
Furthermore, since the participants carbohydrates intake is so limited, the body is forced to use some of our muscle as a source of energy. This muscle loss can be another misleading variable in the Low Carb web, especially since muscle weighs more than fat. The consequence of the last muscle is that you will visually have the same exact figure, just a lighter version.
Finally, the Atkins diet is just not maintainable and people generally gain the weight back. If you go off the diet and begin to re-introduce carbohydrates, your body will immediately stop burning fat as its primary source of fuel. Its important to understand that the Atkins approach is a quick fix that does not solve the problem, but rather, postpones weight issues a while. If you are serious about looking and feeling better about yourself, there is no substitute for proper nutrition and exercise. This is the only avenue which yields sustainable results.
