The very initial thing we human beings wore on our feet was

, you guessed it, sandals!. You've certainly noticed work and sculptures of Roman and Greek soldiers donning sandals? Well sandals actually go even further back, to the ice age.. Our old ancestors would wear animal skins on their feet to protect them in the harsh terrain, sandals were born.

Our ancestors discovered the use of sandals in lots of different areas of the world, making them from dissimilar resources. The Indians wore wooden sandals, the ancient Egyptians and the Greeks wore leather-based sandals and in Japan they would create their sandals by using rice straw.

These days sandals are mainly created from leather but also from foam and latex. Guys, girls and kids all dress in sandals for a range of events. You can wear sandals to go shopping, to go to the beach, for walking around the home and for a grand night out on the township too.

Sandals span a broad range. Some sandals have straps that run all the way up to the knee, much like the ancient Greek chic. You could get a conventional style with a plain strap which runs along the top of the foot. You could as well get everything in between and in every color thinkable.

Countless people call them flip flops. The major difference between flip flops and sandals tend to be the substance, in that flip flops tend not to be made from leather. One thing that they both have in common tends to be the strap that runs up along side the big toe.

Flip-flops are extremely comfy to wear and clean too. They are seen as being hygienic because the foot has total air flow that keeps odors connected with feet to a bare minimum. This can be a god send above all in hot nations during the summer months.
