Most people today use their computer a lot. The only problem is that it often sits in another room, and so people spend their evenings in splendid isolation looking at the screen, trying to do some work whilst the family enjoys the television or social chit chat.

Most people do need to do work on their computer at home there is no doubt about that. That is the price to be paid for life in the modern era. It does have some advantages however, because many people are now able to take some days every month away from the office, because they can work at home on their computer.

There is a lot of sense in owning a notebook or a laptop. It will transform the way you work, where you work and what you do.

For lots of us travel is part of the job. Not just commuting, but perhaps flights as well on a regular basis. You can waste valuable time on a train chatting and reading books and magazines. Imagine the time you could save at home by working on the train with a laptop. Many folk have found this to be true.

Things can be very different with a laptop. You can sit with the family in the family room. Sometimes you might have to sit with your laptop on your knee, but mostly you won't have to because the work was done on the train. You will still have time for a chat and a read of the newspapers.

Looking back into the past has become fun. You may feel a laptop can never equate to a desktop computer. You may feel the specifications will limit what you can do. We have all thought like that, when it is simply not true.

Computers are workhorses for the average business person. Charts, letters, emails, are what is wanted. There is little need for games, design programs. What you need is to get online anywhere, in a car, on a train, or in a park, and you can't do that with a PC. You may wonder about the battery, well they do last a long time properly treated.

Get a laptop, and release yourself. Enjoy the freedom to take your office with you, and not be a slave. Get your life back, and get more effective with a laptop.
