Nikon Coolpix P100 does a good job of filling the zone between a full blown DSLR camera (with lots of lenses and a gigantic/heavy camera bag that you have to carry with you all the time!) and a point and shoot that will fit in your front pocket. Even professional photographers use it on an everyday basis due to its small size and great capabilities.

Let me tell you what else is so great about it!

Nikon Coolpix P100 is EASY to use! After an hour or so, you can be using this camera and all of its features with little or no difficulty. It is recommended though to read the manual as soon as possible as you could not be aware of all of its possibilities! Its 200 pages and well written, packed with easy to understand how-to.

Nikon Coolpix P100 takes beautiful pictures, both in vibrant setting as well as in low light setting. Clarity and focus of the shots is amazing. And its powerful 26x zoom simply rocks! With such a wide angle lens you can take some unimaginable close up shots and beautiful scenery shots.

With Nikon Coolpix P100 you can also shoot amazing videos. Its video capabilities are very good, even for such a small camera. It can shoot up to 2 hours of Full HD movies (1080p) with stereo sound. Both the camera's optical zoom and autofocus functions continue to be available while filming. A stereo microphone optimally mounted on top of the camera accurately captures audio.

Nikon Coolpix P100 is light, easy to hold with a single hand even for longer time. Even though, it is built solidly and sturdy.

There is no remote shutter, so you have to play with the timer function instead.

In conclusion, with Nikon Coolpix P100 you get an excellent camera that is far better than your average point and shoot cameras, and much cheaper and smaller than full blown DSLR cameras for a fair price!
