Margherita is known to be the highest mountain peak of Africa. Alexandria are some more peaks that have truly added to the beauty of the place.

Uganda is recognized to be the inhabitants of about ten thousand species of birds. Of them, you can trace more than a thousand species in Kampala alone. Mabira Forest, Semliki, Bwindi area, Mabamba Swamp are also the home of a varied species of birds. Budongo Forest Reserve is yet another place, where you can trace about 360 different species. Illadopsis puveli, Brown-eared Woodpecker, Blue-breasted Kingfisher, Brown-backed Scrub Robin, Negrofinches, Green Crombec, Red-headed Bluebill, Cassin's Hawk Eagle are some of the famous species of birds found in this region. Ssesse Islands

Ssesse is the biggest island in Lake Victoria. The great beaches offer the perfect relaxation. The place is thus a honeymoon spot for many tourists and you will forget all the troubles at once, if you visit the place. Ngamba Islands, Bulago Islands are the other islands to visit.

Mount Elgon

Located in the eastern Uganda with Kenya as the border, it is one of the famous mountains in Africa. It is the right place for first time as well as experienced hikers. The ancient volcano has made the place of historic importance. The mountain is known to have covered an area of 3000 sq. km. Wagaga is the highest peak of the mountain and it is located on the Uganda side.
