In the morning we will greet You and pick you up from your hotel in El Gouna by your own private English speaking Egyptologist guide who will accompany you to the visit the world famous Karnak temple In ancient times, Karnak was known as Ipet-isut, The most venerated place. Work began on this vast temple complex in the 16th century BC with construction continuing over the next 2,000 years as each successive pharaoh added to the sites epic scale. The temple complex of Karnak was the most important place of worship in ancient Egypt. The site is huge, measuring 1500 x 800 meters, and is a spectacular complex of sanctuaries, kiosks, pylons and obelisks, all dedicated to the Theban gods.
