These exercises should couple with stretching exercises as warming and cooling down exercises. A typical exercise session should consist of: 10 minutes of warming up exercise of stretching type; about 20-30 minutes of aerobic exercise and finally 5 minutes of cool down and stretching exercise.

Once you start exercising, your body will start to call on the fat supplies in your body and you will need to keep to the new balanced diet. Your body will have slightly different glucose requirements but your new diet should help to cater for this aspect. However, it is very important to keep a close check on your glucose levels, especially in the early stages, as your body will be adjusting to the new regime.
