Delhi receives its share of tourists because of two primary reasons

Complementing the already existing hoteliers and guesthouse house owners, homestay brings unique value addition to the tourism industry. The ministry of tourism has classified fully functional rooms of home stay facilities as Incredible India 'Bed and Breakfast' units. The idea is simply to provide foreigners hygienic places to stay at reasonable price. In addition to this the foreign tourist gets an opportunity to stay with Indian families and learn about Indian customs and traditions. Here the foreign tourist also gets a chance to relish Indian cuisine as the breakfast is complementary with the package.
The India's Ministry of Tourism specified precise requirements for homestay owners. The owner of the establishment should be residing with his or her family within the establishment. He/she would be allowed to let out not more than five rooms so that it does turn out to be another medium of minting money.
Indians always believed in 'Athiti Devo Bhava.' Now ministry of tourism has given everyone, who has a room to spare a chance to treat guest in our own traditional way. It also gives us Indians an opportunity to have closer interactions with foreigners and know them better.
