The difference between traditional & gestational surrogacy is that in traditional method baby is biologically linked to the Surrogate Mother and the prospective father but not with the prospective mother whereas in gestational method baby is not correlated to surrogate. In India, only gestational surrogacy is lawful, the ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research) does not advise traditional surrogacy process.
