Explode Your Downline Into Tiny Little Bits - You'll Never Put It Back Together!

EXPLODE YOUR DOWNLINE - I'm sure you've seen that catchphrase everywhere on the internet. You might have been enticed to click and find out if those sensational claims are true. You've probably come across tons of websites making just ridiculous income claims.

When a bomb explodes, it releases an enormous tidal wave of energy in a very short period of time, creating a shockwave that destroys everything in its path.

Explosions cause irreversible damage. If you've studied thermodynamics, you know this is true. It's also a business law. Countless business have failed because their growth was unsustainable. The fail because of greed and ego. Just as Humpty Dumpty can't be put back together, neither can your business because of your broken reputation. You have to start all over again.

Unfortunately, a lot of people come into network marketing with a lottery mentality. This is a wonderful industry of personal development and cultivating leadership. It irritates me that people promote this business as a solution to money problems - it's not. The last thing most people ever need is a business opportunity.

In many network marketing companies, the business model drives the behavior of recruiting. In such companies, the products are premium priced, but are often promoted mostly to "non-premium people". Hardly anybody retails the product. It is all about getting people into the deal so they could by at wholesale and earn "frequent flyer" style bonus points.

This business model has given rise to so called "internet MLM rockstars" who make outrageous claims of being able to sponsor 50+ people a month.

But here's the real deal... Long term success in MLM is not about you recruiting 100,000 people into your downline. Most network marketers are not heavy recruiters. Legacies are built by sponsoring 4 or 5 people who will stick with you for life. In turn they sponsor four or five people, who sponsor four or five people and so on.

In other words, successful network marketers build strong relationships. If all you do is try to recruit every single prospect, you will never succeed in the long term because you have not built relationships. Relationships are the glue that holds your business together.

if you don't build relationships, your dropout rate will be so high that you would have to work for the rest of your life just to combat the attrition.

Those "internet MLM gurus" are not network marketers. In fact, most of don't build MLM downlines. They are making tons of money selling you training on how to market their products on the internet.

"Generate 100 leads a day", "Sponsor 20+ people a week without calling a single lead", I'm sure you've seen these all over the internet. Who would believe that? Desperate people, that's who.

The truth is, you don't need to generate 100 leads per day to have success in network marketing. It's not about quantity, it's all about quality. Wealth in network marketing is built on people helping other people achieve their dreams. This takes time.

Our modern society is driven by results. For example, we just expect to find the clothes we want when we visit a department store, paying no regard to how it got there. We all want success now. Plant today, harvest tomorrow. That's not how a successful business is built. Success is a process.

"Success is the progressive realisation of a worthy ideal"

This quote inspires me every time I read it. It reminds me that success is a journey - not a result. It requires consistent, focused, work on a daily basis which over time accumulates to an amazing harvest.
