Exploring Rome In Three Days
Planning a trip to Rome? Get ready to enjoy a city that is vibrant and lively

The Perfect Itinerary
Day One: Ancient Rome and the Trevi Fountain
The Glories of Ancient RomeBegin your three day tour at one of Romes most popular sites, the Roman Colosseum. This world-renowned amphitheatre was built between 70 and 82 AD.
Then, move on to the Roman Forum, a huge complex of ruined temples, basilicas, and arches. Here, you can spend a couple of hours wandering around what used to be the ceremonial, legal, social, and business centre of ancient Rome.
The Trevi FountainCompleted in 1762, this gorgeous fountain attracts the attention of people from all over the world. Rumour has it, if you toss a coin into the Trevi, then you will be assured a trip to the Eternal City.
After all of the walking and the excitement of the day, head back to the Worldhotel Ripa Roma and be sure to get a good nights sleep as day two will be action packed!
Day Two: Capotiline Hill Museums and Rome Neighborhoods
Campo dei Fiori, Trastevere, and Jewish GhettoStart the day at the Campo dei Fiori, a flower market where your senses will be captivated by the beautiful colours, smells, and sounds. Then, walk along the Tiber River to Ponte Sisto, cross the Tiber to the Trastevere neighbourhood and visit the church of Santa Maria in Trestevere, Romes first Christian church. After that, continue on to the Jewish Ghetto where there are several locations to sample Romes excellent Jewish cuisine.
Capitoline Hill MuseumsNext, make your way up to Capitoline Hill and you will have the most remarkable view of the Roman Forum. The piazza was designed by Michelangelo and the museums are the oldest in the world.
Day Three: The Ancient Appian Way and Shopping
Via Appia Antica and CatacombsRunning through what is now a regional park [Parco Regionale DellAppia Antica], the Via Appia Antica was once the major road of the ancient Roman Empire. Rent a bike and ride along the ancient road, lined with tombs, monuments and churches.
ShoppingOnce youve had your daily dose of history, why not head out to the Piazza del Popolo and walk along Via del Corso, the citys main shopping street? People watching and window shopping are free of charge, but if you do desire to shop-til-you-drop cabs line the roads and would be happy to take you and all of your new treasures back to the Worldhotel Ripa Roma.
Rome is truly a magical city with so much to see and do; while three days wont allow you to see everything of course, this itinerary covers some of the citys most loved and visited locations.
