Exploring The Various Types Of Edgers

Mowing and watering your lawn are not all that you need to do to get the perfect looking lawn you have always been wishing for

. For you to get something decent and lovely, you must know that you will need to put in a little bit of extra effort. Now, I am not saying that the mower is not a useful tool, but if you have ever used one, you will definitely agree with me about the fact that they are not able to reach the areas around the wall and the edges of the fence. This means that you will need something else; this something else is what we refer to as the edgers. In this article, I would like to bring out the various types of edgers that are available, and then state one or two things about their features.

The Electric Lawn Edgers

The first type of edgers to look at is the electric lawn edger. As the name suggests, they are powered using electricity. This makes them very convenient to use compared to the manual shears that people use sometimes in their stead. The other advantage of the electric edger is the fact that it has got plenty of angles with which to cut the grass. As there continues to increase the number of manufacturers producing these edgers, there is also an increase in the number of designs that keep on coming up over time. Because of this, consumers like you and me continue to get more and more options available for consideration.

Gas-Powered Trimmers

The other type of trimmers or edgers that we have is the gas powered edgers. Again, they operate in a manner that is quite similar to that of the electric trimmer, except for the fact that the power they use is derived from the burning of gasoline and not the electric socket. The advantage of this is that it is much easier to design a cordless one so that one can move with it from place to place wondering whether their will be a power socket close to the place where they will be doing the trimming.

Which One to Choose

Having state the various models that area available for sampling, the next question that you are likely going to be asking me is: so which one should I choose? Well, the truth is that each one has its own advantages and disadvantages. For example as we have seen, the electric powered trimmers have the disadvantage of being hard to design in a way that will allow them to be portable. On the other hand we have also seen that the gas-powered trimmers are quite portable and hence among the most loved when it comes to portable gas trimmers. All in all, it depends on your individual tests and preferences.
