Extrusion Machinery Exporters Keeping Their Fingers Crossed

"The universe is a machine where you have been placed

, and like a machine the outcome can be known. Every battle has already been won or lost. All that is left is for you to choose your side."

Introduction

As per Wiki, Extrusion is a process used to create objects of a fixed cross-sectional profile. A material is pushed or drawn through a die of the desired cross-section. The two main advantages of this process over other manufacturing processes are its ability to create very complex cross-sections and work materials that are brittle, because the material only encounters compressive and shear stresses. It also forms finished parts with an excellent surface finish.

Metals, polymers, ceramics, concrete and foodstuffs are few of the most commonly extruded materials.

Brief History

Joseph Bramah was the first to patent an extrusion process for the development of lead pipe. There were two steps involved in this process. The first step was pre heating the metal and the second step was to force the heated metal through a die through a plunger that was hand driven. Later on, in 1894, Alexander Dick gained success in expanding the extrusion process to brass and copper alloys.

Features Of Extrusion Process

There are number of benefits that the extrusion process offers over the other production processes. Till date, many extrusion machines have been developed and used to create objects having cross-sectional profile. The features of the Extrusion Process are as below:

Cost Effective

Minimizes the need of secondary machining process

Cross Section

Wide variety

Surface Finish

Main Types Of Extrusion Process

Hot Extrusion

Cold Extrusion

Warm Extrusion

Aluminium extrusion and Plastic extrusion are the most popular types of extrusion process undertaken by companies worldwide.

Many companies today undertake aluminium extrusion process to offer extruded products to thier end- buyers. Aluminium extrusions are popular across the globe because of the easy availability of the metal as well as its wide usage in several day to day applications .

Plastic extrusion process is primarily a polymer extrusion process that is used to create plastic profiles of various shapes and sizes. Extruded profiles made out of plastic extrusion process are utilized for various purposes in the major industries like electronics & light , electronic equipments industry, packaging industry etc.

The Parting Shot

Most of the Extrusion Machinery Exporters acknowledge the fact that their industry is making a comeback after the recent economic downturn. Extrusion Machinery Exporters are making a conscious effort to put their best foot forward with the help of latest technologies to tap the upcoming opportunities all over the world.
