F1 2010 the game tips and tricks

On the 24th of September the first formula game for the Xbox 360 and PS3 since 2006 came out created by codemasters. Since I have had the game I have played the career mode and online, so far I prefer playing against real opponents so I enjoy the sprint races online. On career mode I started off with HRT and got 10 points in my first season whereas my team mate had 0 points, however the team didn't renew my contract so I moved to Virgin Racing. The career mode is very good, but I was let down by the media interviews which seem to ask the same questions after every race. But, overall a very good game and by far the best formula one game created. In this lens im going to give advise on how to win (or finish in the top 3) on online races.

The most popular online game type on F1 2010 is sprint, which is a 3 lap race. Your grid position is random, but it doesn't matter whether you start at the back or at the front because if you play right you should be in top 3 after the first corner. There can be up to 12 cars in the online race; one player in each type of car, however all cars are the same speed so it doesnt really matter which car you are in.

Tip 1

Car set-up

My first tip is your car set-up, when you have joined a game and you are waiting in the garage in the cockpit of your car you will have the option to your right to change your car set-up. Change your set-up to the one on the far left, it is the set-up with the least speed, however it has the most downforce which is very useful for a beginner. The high downforce package will stop you oversteering when you come out of corners and also will help with breaking.
