If you and your ex were having problems that eventually led to your break up

, then it is understandable that you feel that your situation is hopeless and you'll never get your ex back. However, I must tell you that, no matter how difficult things may seem, if you are patient and determined enough to want to succeed, then the chances are very good that you will.

If your ex is not talking to you right now, then it is only that your ex is still hurt and angry after the break up - that's all. Just a little time to think things over will probably change your ex's way of thinking, and he/she will become a lot more approachable. This is when you grab the opportunity with both hands and try to talk things over with your ex.

If you show your ex that you are willing to talk about problems, yours included, and then your ex might be just as willing to hear you out and work with you to fix those problems. Communication is very important in a relationship, especially when problems arise otherwise you have no hope of sorting them out at all.

Also, if you really want to get your ex back, you need to show him/her your willingness to change your ways. This could very well encourage your ex to do the same as well. Achieving this is only possible with regular communication.

You could also suggest to your ex that you have a little time away from each other and just stay friends for a while. This way, with no strings attached, both of you will be able to see what your lives will be like without each other. After some time, if you find that you still love each other, and have a yearning to be together again, then you can resume your relationship.

If, when the time comes, one of you decides that you really don't want to be in the relationship anymore, then this decision should be respected. Either way, whether it is you or your ex who doesn't want to be in the relationship any longer, then there is no need to try and get your ex back - just get out there and build a new life for yourself.
