Fake Security Cameras: Not Better Than The Real Thing
Have you ever thought about getting fake security cameras for your home
? They are not without meaning but are fading away as we see CCTV cameras become more and more affordable. They are still on the market and can be used in various situations.
Fake security cameras were once a popular item because people were not used to being recorded everywhere they went. Now that we are exposed to real cameras in every mall, shop, store, any government building, or any part of the business sector you will see cameras monitoring you everywhere you go. Telling the unreal cameras from the real ones is piece of cake these days and it has made them less of a commodity.
This is not to say you need to have the best home security systems in place but if you are in doubt about the safety of your home there should be something more that is done than just a decoy of a camera system. There is a middle ground that can be found if you look for it.
Even the best home security systems have their flaws but they are always running to make sure you are protected. Using a model surveillance system is only playing mind games with people who are unable to tell the difference between a fake and real camera.
Now that Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) is so affordable and superior to just about every monitoring system on the market we will slowly see fake security cameras fade out as VCRs, cassette tapes, and laser disks have all done. This is the nature of technology.
In fact with this form of surveillance becoming so cost effective it has made some of the best home security systems fade away from the forefront. This is what we see happening to phony cameras.
Expense usually sees us do things we don't want to do like having no other option but to use a dummy camera setup. Again this is not to say it will not deter thieves and burglars, it most certainly will, but you do not want to rest the fate of your safety with that being your last measure of defense against intruders.
This is the problem with fake security cameras. They do not give you the rest easy feeling you are looking for in a home protection unit. Even if the phony system does deter 1 out of a 100 thieves or home invasion attempts it is still 1% more that that of a real secure network of surveillance and burglar alarms.
