Christmas means party time and of course, obligatory fancy dress! There is no better time to embarrass yourselves, than at a fancy dress Christmas party! Although it may not be your intention, the Christmas party is notorious for being a reputation killer and the location for creating memories you would really rather forget. But the Christmas party is an opportunity to let your hair down and a great way to take the pressure off is a fancy dress theme. You may feel at ease and more carefree in a disguise, rather than choosing your own party clothes.

Dressing up as Santa is the ultimate Christmas party outfit as it is so symbolic of the season. There are many variations on this traditional get up, some in the traditional red and white, but also available in other colours and patterns. For girls there are Mrs Santa outfits both in a sexy short style and in more sophisticated versions.

Elf costumes are ever more popular due to the well-loved film of the same name and the loveable character Buddy. Elf costumes are great fun to wear because of the fun hat and shoes and are available in lots of different styles for both males and females.

For traditionalists, there is the nativity costumes which hark back to your childhood dressed up in tea towels and mums old dress. Costumes that you buy online will feel a lot nicer to wear and a great way to avoid looking silly.

There are more Christmas themed costumes such as a snowmen, Christmas puddings, penguins and reindeer costumes as something a little bit different which would look great in a party when everyone else is dressed as Santa.

Some girls may not be interested in wearing an outfit with sexy in its title and comprises of a skirt which skims ones bum cheeks. Do not fear- there are alternatives available, admittedly they take a little more looking for but there are costumes available where you can look great in fancy dress without being uncomfortable or feeling over exposed!

Bah Humbug. Yes, there is even a Santa outfit in black fabric for those of you not a fan of Christmas spirit and jollity. But what if you are not the greatest fan of fancy dress? Hopefully you can be converted by choosing some accessories rather than a full costume to ensure you can join in with the fun. How about trying out some headgear?
