Fantasy Football - Week 8 Start 'em Sit 'em
Lots of surprises have happened for fantasy football owners the past couple weeks. Tony Romo got injured, Brett Favre is even more hurt, trades amongst the Vikings - Patriots - Seahawks, and the Bills actually scoring through the air due to the quarterback change.
Get ready to be entertained and shocked. Listen very carefully to who you should start and who you should sit for week 8 of fantasy football - Sid Says . . .
START 'EM
Marshawn Lynch (RB) SEA - We finally know who the man is in Seattle -- beast mode himself: Marshawn Lynch. The past two weeks we have seen him carry the lion's share of the workload, carrying the ball 41 times for 133 yards and a touchdown. I expect him to continue that trend this week against the Oakland Raiders, I foresee him carrying the ball 21 times for 94 yards and a touchdown.
Other honorable mentions to start this week: Mike Williams (TB), Jamaal Charles, Ryan Torain, Brandon Marshall, Matt Hasselbeck, Mike Williams (SEA), Percy Harvin, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Sam Bradford, Tony Moeaki
SIT 'EM
Miles Austin (WR) DAL - OH NO! The loss of Tony Romo will hit this cowboy receiver the hardest if Monday night's game was any indication. After Romo left the game he saw only 5 targets in 3 quarters and ended the game with 3 receptions for 38 yards. With Jon Kitna as his quarterback you can expect him to see a lot less balls thrown his way because teams will be rushing the quarterback almost every play. This week will be the first true test for him without Romo and the numbers will not be nice, expect 4 receptions for 49 yards and no touchdowns.
Other honorable mentions to bench this week: Philip Rivers, Maurice Jones-Drew, Brandon Jackson, Greg Jennings, Chris Ivory, Marques Colston, Darren McFadden, Knowshon Moreno, Cedric Benson
PICKUP
Ryan Fitzpatrick (QB) BUF - Ever since he became the starting quarterback in week 3 he has averaged 242.25 passing yards/gm and 2.75 touchdowns/gm and has fantasy friendly matchups the next 4 weeks. He has looked sharp in the offense and has a gunslinger mentality; think a younger Brett Favre. By the end of the season he should be a top 10-top 15 quarterback. Pick him up now before he puts up another gem, and you lose the chance to grab him.
