Sony announced Monday (Oct. 25, 2010) that it has ceased production of the classic, cassette tape Walkman in Japan, effectively sounding the death knell of the once iconic, now obsolete device. It has been the most important memory for those 70s and 80s because the walkman was first came into being in 1970s .The first model, the TPS-L2, debuted in July 1979.
