Fashion at Optimal Point, Instinct and Wisdom

Everybody likes fashion but not many people ask why

. Even less people believe that there is an optimal point for fashion instead of always the newer the better for it. Actually, it is very easy to answer this question and to know where the optimal point is if we just spare some time to think it over by means of our very common sense. Origin Just think a little bit over the origin of the fashion with our common sense and then we can find that fashion must be driven by one of our instincts, which are our ancestors successful experiences saved on our DNA. The fashion belongs to the instinct of competition, which is essential in ancient years when our ancestors were gather-hunting for food etc. (Reference 1) That is to say, it is necessary to compete in finding a newer and better food source or more suitable habitat. Otherwise, human beings may not survive any longer. (Re. #1) Optimal Point Since the competition instinct was formed 10,000 years ago, its valid range must be that range which worked well in the conditions of 10,000 years ago. Furthermore, in the valid range there is an optimal point, which is the point when our ancestors were in most favorable conditions. (Re. #1-3) However, as anything in human life, it will become harmful if it goes too far beyond the most favorable point. Just like that you cannot eat too much, drink too much, wear too warm, etc. otherwise you will feel sick and painful. Therefore, it is not wise to pursue the fashions that are too far beyond the optimal point where our ancestors did 10,000 years ago. Such as: Too expensive garments that not only do nothing good for our propagating offspring but also harmful to the education of our kids; (Re. #5) Too delicious foods or drinks that are artificially processed and did not exist 10,000 years ago, which hurt our health more or less; (Re. #4) Too luxurious house decorated with manmade materials that did exist 10,000 years ago, which usually are toxic to us to different extent; The night life that did not exist 10,000 years ago, which makes us life shorter; (Re. #2) The travel for invalid pleasure rather than seeking food and shelter, but just for invalid happiness; (Re. #6) All of these invalid fashions mentioned above give us only invalid happiness and spend a lot of the resources of our offspring in advance, and thus make our offspring difficult to survive in the future.
