Starving yourself causes muscle loss, metabolic downgrade and usually means that you are so hungry by dinner time that you will overeat along with poor food choices and then go to bed on a full stomach when your body needs that energy the least.
Eating frequently with small meals will increase energy, accelerate lean muscle growth and speed up your metabolism. It will also prevent binge eating by controlling your cravings, regulate your blood sugar levels so that your energy levels are maintained during the day, so you feel better as well.
If you've been going on starvation type diets for a long time you may find it initially a hard concept to get your head around, but if you don't adopt this way of eating you will continue to sabotage your results.
