Fathers Day Gifts - How To Know What He Wants?

When you were a kid, you often told your parents or gave them hints about what you wanted as a gift from them

. And they used to tell you that the gifts are supposed to be surprise.

Now it's their turn. Whenever some occasion is around the corner, e.g. Mother's day, father's day, birthday of any of your parents or any other occasion, you parents start giving you hints about what they want for gift.

Now these hints may be confusing or these might get misinterpreted. Especially those given by the dad. Your dad might be looking forward to having some fun or relaxation as the present. But you might be looking to get him something that isn't going to be hard on your wallet. Many other misinterpretations are also possible.

When father's day starts nearing, he may start talking about golf course or some lake resorts. Now you might get the idea that he wants to actually learn the game or he wants to spend vacations on the lake. But in reality, he might be wanting to see you playing the game or enjoying the outdoors, just like when you were little.

Now how to guess, what he "actually" wants? It's simple. Just pay close attention to your father's personality. Does he love playing golf? Is he into the golf tournaments? If the answer is No, don't buy him any thing related to golf. That will be of no use to him.

Another trick is to ask him questions. Ask him what exactly he has on his mind. For example, if he is talking about cars a lot lately, it is a hint that he wants something related to cars as a gift. But don't instantly get his car painted. He might not like it. The best thing to do is to ask him, what he wants. Of course it will ruin the element of surprise. At least he will not be angry at you the rest of the year for ruining his car.

Now here is the ultimate, the best way around this whole misinterpretation thing. It will also help you, if he doesn't give any hint at all. Surprise him with some food related gifts. He will definitely like the edible gifts. To go the extra mile, give him any of these themed fathers day gift baskets. You may chose any theme according to what he likes.
