Canon is constantly adding new models to their increasingly popular Pixma line-up. This new Pixma model is powered by Canon's FINE print head technology that utilizes 6 Single Ink tanks along with a special grey ink to maximise image quality for both greyscale and colour printing. This also means that replacing an ink cartridge is only necessary when a particular Single Ink cartridge is consumed. The technology also allows it to print 10x15cm photos without borders in about 20 seconds. When printing photos, the printer is best paired with genuine Canon photo papers because it utilises the ChromaLife100+ to increase the longevity of printed photos.

Interface Features

Canon wants to make sure that their All-in-One printer is easy to use and so they incorporated the exceptionally useful Intelligent Touch System. The system makes use of a 7.5cm screen and is powered by a light-guided touch panel that lights up so users won't get lost in navigating. Being an All-in-One printer, it also supports a greater variety of media types including CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs. It has 2-way paper feeding functionality allowing different paper types to be loaded simultaneously. Auto Duplex also allows both sides of the document to be printed to save time and paper of course.

It also features reflective scanning functionalities where 35mm film can be scanned with a maximum resolution of 4800x9600 dpi. No warm-up time is required for the device to function and it works well when scanning documents, photos, and 3D objects alike. The Auto Photo Fix II feature can improve the clarity of scanned documents and photos. Once finished, the scanned items can then be printed immediately.

The MG8150 costs a lot more than a standard Canon printer but it also carries the functions of multiple types of printers and makes use of a good ink management system. Plus the Wi-Fi and Ethernet capabilities make this a great printer choice for any modern business.
