Festival Fashion How To Make Sure You Get It Right

When you enter the world of a British festival you leave behind you all the worries and stresses of everyday life

. Trapped in a magical festival bubble you notice that the rules are different here, especially when it comes to fashion. The great thing about festival fashion is that there are no real trends to follow or seasonal patterns. Pretty much anything goes and since you will be spending your entire weekend outdoors then all kinds of clothing might be needed as the British climate threatens to throw four seasons of weather at you in one day.

There are however a few essential items of clothing that no festival goer should be without. Wellies are the first and most obvious yet it is surprising how many people still choose to bring their trainers and spend half the weekend retrieving them from the mud! There are so many types of wellies to choose from you really have no excuse to not find a pair that is suited to your style. You can have fun with wellies too and there are lots of fun and quirky designs out there. Remember if it is forecast to be cold then pack extra warm socks because wellies are not very insulating and if it looks set to be really muddy then choose a pair that come up to your knees.

Waterproofs are another essential item for any British festival because it is inevitable that at some point during the weekend it is going to rain. If it is forecast to be really wet then you will need a decent waterproof jacket, although you may want to be careful about bringing something that is too valuable to a rowdy festival. For light showers there are lots of cheap and fun waterproofs out there and it is probably a good idea to bring more than one so you have something to wear while your wet waterproof jacket dries in your tent.

Shorts and short dresses are great for festivals because they keep your clothing well away from the mud! If it is cold then you can add some socks or leggings but hopefully if the weather is warm they will be the perfect item of clothing when teamed with your wellies. Playsuits are great fun too although it might be advisable to steer clear of these if the toilet facilities look questionable! Festival fashion is all about fun so go crazy with your outfits and dont forget to bring lots of quirky accessories.
