Furthermore, defragment is also an important way optimize PC performance, it helps with cleaning hard disk fragments thus accelerate the data accessing and reading speed, you'll notice that the files or programs will be opened much faster than they were before. General speaking, you'll get approximately 20% to 30% performance increase after the defragment, but the result pretty much depends on the what kind of condition your PC is in. It would be better to use professional disk defrag software such as Advanced Defrag to help you handle the defragment job, it is much faster and more effective than the traditional Windows build-in defragment utility. I personally have used Advanced Defrag for about half a year, and it works great on my Vista system.
